Only moments from boarding the ferry to Kagoshima, it seemed the  mountain spilled it's guts. Riding the dust was like suffering a sever nibbling by a hundred tiny teething legislators. Needless to say, it was endearing.

And all part of meeting Japan, close and personal.

Whats booked for 2010;
March 20 21 and 22 ,  Oita JET's Charty ride. 300 km.
$400 plus odd-ball expenses. Link is to up. Like, maybe a donation?
Sign-up and transport to/from ride start is handled by Japan Bike and Hike.
Must be signed up by March 10th.
 
April 10 to 16, Hike and caravan exploration of northern Kyushu. 7 days $1800 per person.
April 15, 16 and 17, Weekend Pass on Kunisaki, on Mama-Charinko bikes.
$800 per person, all included. A shortened version of the Heritage Tour.
 
May 8 to 12, 5 day Bike tour.  $1500 per person, in Oita.
 
June 14 to 18, Heritage Bike and Hike tour, Kunisaki.
June 22 to 29,  Epic Adventure and exploration ride to Shikoku Island. 8 days $2000 per person.
 
July, strangely open...
 
August 9 to 13, Heritage bike and Hike tour in Kunisaki. $1500 per person.
 
Sept 20 to 24, Bike  adventure in Oita and Kyushu. $1500 per person.
