What is included in the package?

We try to make this simple.
All food is included. Three meals a day, provided by the accomodations or as we can arrange it on the tour. Breakfasts and lunches are not a problem but when we are out on the trail, "lunch" can mean different things to different people! We do ensure you don't go hungry and none have died from starvation. Yet. In fact it is surprising that, considering how active these adventures are, few people actually loose weight. But most people note that some fat has been converted to muscle!

All accomodation for all nights on the tour are included. This is simple and sure. If you are on a 5 day tour, you need 5 nights rest, right? I don't try to gype you on a nights food and sleep. You may choose to have the night prior to the tour's start included, or the night we complete the tour. We will also be happy to book extra nights for you, but these costs are not included.

All taxis, transfers, luggage transfer fees, gratuities and entry fees are included. Everything on the scheduled tour that is. If unforseen events force drastic changes, or you, the guest, choose to forge new paths, those costs may not be covered. How much does hele-vac in Japan cost, anyway? (Make note to self; look into emergency rescue costs!)

Basically, we don't want you to get any surprise expenses when you are on tour with us. The only "hidden costs" are clearly listed below! Japan, in all it's quirkiness, should be surprise enough.

What is not included.

Your travel to the start point, and onward travels after the tour.
Your gifts, alcohol drinks and personal purchases.
While it isn't necessary to tip the guides, these heartfelt tokens of graditude are rarely refused! Often, your used (English!) paper-back or oldest male child is a good substitute for cash, as long as he is in line to inherit...
Emergency medical care, should you need it!
Excursions outside the itinerary of the tour, if they add notable expense to the tour. Needless to say, if you do something that lands you, say, in jail...you gonna have to pay extra for that!
Minor modifications to the tour caused by weather or physicaly being unable to obtain an objective may or may not be covered by tour, case by case. We will make every effort to provide you with honesty and value for your money.
