| We aren't in Kyoto anylonger, are we Toto! |

| But Toto is in Kyoto. |
Welcome to Japan Bike and Hike tours in southern Japan. I have been taking adventurers away from
the cities for three years, and still have not discovered all there is to discover on Kyushu island.
Because things
are tougher then ever, I have changed the way I do tours; now there will generally be one tour a month. I like bike tours
better than hike tours, so they have precedence. For you dedicated hikers...sorry! The bike and hike tour is a great combination
of both, but the bike tours are the best way to see large expanses of fresh territory. Besides, as I get older, my knees are
not up to the pounding that the hiking trails gives me. If you have any knee trouble, consider converting to a bike,
yourself.
Here is what's available for 2009; August 16 to 20, Bike and Hike tour in Kunisaki, all inclusive
at $1400. Stay in temple, hot spring villa, etc. You have to get on the stick to book this, though!
September 19
to 24, 6 day bike adventure from Beppu to Kagoshima down the east coast of Kyushu. 80/100 km per day, some mountains and some
coastal routes. Very lovely. $1700 per person.
October 26 to 30, 5 day bike adventure to Saganoseki and
points south, return via the rivers systems of Soubo Mountain system. $1500 per person all inclusive.
November
1 to 5, last bike adventure of the year, 5 day trip from Oita follows the west coast to historic Kumamoto and semi-tropical
Kagoshima. $1500 per person.
The Japan Bike and Hike tours are very popular, so contact me soon to reserve
your place.
I like custom routes, so contact me as early
as possible if you want to do something special travel-wise on the island of Kyushu.
